Born March 24, 1989 in Casablanca, ElBellaoui Mohammed AKA “REBEL SPIRIT” is a young visual artist passionate about urban art and underground culture. laureate of the school of the beautiful Casablanca section graphic design / comics in 2013.
Since 2009 he has chosen comics as a field of research and study. Or he approaches different pictorial techniques including drawing, illustration as well as oil painting and watercolor.
In addition to his academic career, Mohammed practices street art from a young age. And touches on several techniques of this discipline; airbrush painting, stencil, collage and tape art.
The prolific and eclectic multidisciplinary artist stands out for his versatility and his experimental techniques. His approach advocates the imposition of constraints and the development of new processes.
Mohammed Elbellaoui explores the human and urban wealth and treats it in an evolutionary way and explores its values of materials and textures and even of its unexpected waste. In image, he develops a hybrid of several techniques including animation and comics, pixilation and compositing. Through the composite multiplicity of layers of visual materials, his rich and dense works often represent a transposition of reality that reveals a multitude of meanings that the viewer can freely interpret.
