Social Impact .

To tackle the most pressing challenges using art and creativity, it’s necessary to consider an inclusive model to increase the social impact, economic growth, and the employment rate.

Starting from October 07th, 2017, Ta7rir was launched to support creatives addressing social and economic challenges, with a focus on their freedom in proposing alternative solutions, far from any form of censorship and limitations, to effectively engage in conscious work.

Karim El Hamri, Founder of Ta7rir

Vision & Mission
Ta7rir believes in a world where social and economic impact is created through free artistic and creative actions. And it demonstrates that by promoting creativity to solve social and economic challenges.
Areas of work
We believe an artist can not propose alternatives to solve challenges, if the creations made are burdened by censorship and limitations.
Ta7rir uses art and creativity to tackle 3 dimensions:
Social dimension: Focusing on true gender equity, interpersonal trust in society, and global collaborations.
Human dimension: Which implies access for all to better education, health, and early childhood development.
Institutional dimension: Working to promote the rule of law and reshape how the cities work.
Approach
Ta7rir’s approach is based on a circular design, and lies in:
  1. Identifiying of a social/economic challenge
  2. Understanding the causes and consequences of the challenge
  3. Inspiring, educating, and supporting creatives to solve it in a collaborative way
  4. Co-creating and testing a creative product as a solution to the challenge
  5. Evaluating the creative product using social and economic impact KPIs.
History
During its 6 months of experience, Ta7rir was dedicated to understanding the needs of creatives in Morocco. We have been working on identifying the potential of creativity and its link with both technology and social entrepreneurship in order to solve social and economic challenges.
We have been testing specifically on issues related to gender and lack of trust.
In Ta7rir we never work alone. We built a community of over 40 partners including 10 creative spaces, and a selection of over 300 most skilled artists (160 of which are women). +200 opportunities for creatives (grants, call for residencies, etc…) shared from over 10 countries around the world. And over 10000 followers on social media (55% of which are women).
In Ta7rir we insist on promoting local talent, making sense out of what we do, above all, designing scalable projects, with tangible products, real social impact, and valid business models. Our core value is to work on a top priority challenge, understand it, then give birth to real models to be developed within bigger programs in the next milestone.
